Garnett Burk discovered his passion for hair and makeup early on, growing up in a household with five females. By the time he was in his early teens he was creating the latest colors and styles on his four sisters and sculpting his mother's waist-length hair into a gravity defying up-do that would make Kate Pearson of the B52's jealous.
At the age of 14 he got a hold of a book called Making Monsters at Home which opened up a whole new world of possibility when he turned the kitchen into a special effects makeup lab.
Following 4 years as a color educator with Clairol and two years of training with Paul Mitchell, Garnett's hobby developed into a career as a professional hair and makeup artist . His versatility in the areas of hair, makeup and special effects keeps him in demand on the set working with the movers and shakers of the music, television and film industry.
One of the first professional make-up artists in Nashville to master the artistry of the airbrush, Garnet has a reputation for both speed and quality. With Garnett on the set producers, directors and AD's alike know that they will never have to wait for talent. And as an accomplished photographer and artist in his own right Garnett�s attention to detail shines through whether it is period hair and make-up on an army of extras, cover girl glam on a single individual or a big nasty oozing sore that just won�t heal!
